Can you help me out??

Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me out on a schedule for my 5 month old. I am not sure exactly how to handle the baby food and bottles. His schdeule is something like this. Wakes up anywhere from 6-7 for a bottle, and goes back down for a few hours, wakes about 8-9, and usually around 9-10 I feed him some baby food (not a cereal fan so went to fruit, he get cereal in bottle 1 tbs per 2 oz formula for reflux, my older son was the same way) then he takes a bottle around 11-12 depending on when he wakes is when we feed, then I do not know if I should offer him another bottle at like 2-3-4, then do more baby food, then another bottle at 6 and one at 8-9 before bed. Before baby food he has been eating every 3 hours bottles. I am not sure what to do, as his scehdule varies and I am having a hard time establishing one with him. My older son was apiece of cake, he took baby food no problem and the was a great napper and everything just fell into place.

Now I am giving baby food and not sure of how often to feed, how many bottles he should be taking ect. Also, he is a cat napper and I have a terrible time getting him to take longer naps (he takes 3-4 a day at 30-40 minutes) Any suggestions would be greatly apprecaited.

Thanks bunches, hope to hear lots of great advice, youa ll are wonderful!!!!

I honestly didn't stick to much of a schedule with any of my kids. But at 5 months, I think I only fed baby food once a day. And by the way, the only way I could get any of my kids to eat cereal was to mix a little fruit in with it. They loved it mixed with either applesauce or mashed banana!

Ryan is 5 months. This is what we do.

5:00 a.m. wake up 8 oz bottle
8:00-8:30 8 oz bottle, 2 tbls cereal with apple juice, 1/2 jar of fruit
nap
11:00-11:30 8 oz bottle
2:00-2:30 8 oz bottle, 1/2 jar veggie
nap
5:00-5:30 8 oz bottle
6:30 nap
8:00-8:30 8 oz bottle, 1/2 jar fruit, 1/2 jar veggie

My kid can eat, and that is what the doctor suggested.

As for napping longer, I can't help you. I went from having 2 kids that didn't nap unless we napped with them, to Ryan, who sleeps wonderfully!!!

Good luck!
