Learning through playing...

Now we can do this with any age but preschool kids seem like an awesome place to start. Fill a basket or drawer with markers and crayons, construction paper, safety scissors and paper plates and paper bags. Let your childs creativity come out in beautiful art work.

Help your kids learn by letting them play.

Except for the scissors, Kate has her own crafts drawer. She's been using it a more lately for what I intended it for. Crafts, not taking out her crayons and breaking them up.

I just read in a book the other day that blocks are probably the best toy for kids for learning. My dd adores her blocks. She plays with them everyday. That was $40 well spent.

It's true what they say... Play is a child's work.

The best learning is hands-on experience. It's amazing what you find out about your child and their interests when you just let them go.
