What should I be looking at?I

I so want to work from home. But I see these ads and catalogs and I automatically think "scam".

I know people in Florida who work from home doing online order taking. How do you get into that?

Anyone have any ideas or what do you do from home?

I wish I knew, too! I know that a good friend of ours is a medical transcriptionist, but she says that to be any good at it, you should work in an office for a year or two and then work from home. I think it sounds boring anyway!
I was thinking today that I wish I could work from home. Then I could homeschool Emily and would not have to actually "go" back to work.

I know. If it was that easy, I guess everyone would already be doing it. I am doing some research right now. I keep finding things that say if you have to PAY, it is a scam. So at least that answers one of my questions.

Now I have heard Clark Howard say that, too, so I figured that one, but it's just so hard to know what else is for real and what will really be worth it. Plus, where do you FIND those jobs?

Maybe you could see if there is anything on Monster.com?No guarantees there either, but it might limit the number of scams?

Tammy, thanks for that link.

I have just been researching, doing a lot of google searches. Anything that does not require money, I am requesting info on.

I did find something that gave lots of information about starting a business that works with what you are interested in. Really the only thing I am qualified to do would be c/s, data entry, order entry, admin work, word processing, etc. There is a thing called a Virtual Assistant that might be good. I don't know.... I just would love to find something that I could make a decent amount of money and not have all the child care costs yknow? I have $1200 in childcare a month, that is one of my bi-weekly paychecks, so in reality, I would only need to make $1200-1400 to be where we are now.
