What position does your baby sleep in?

I'm mainly asking because Brenna purposely covers her face with a sheet before falling asleep and it drives me crazy. She lays on her back totally spread eagle to sleep but before falling asleep without fail she reaches over and grabs the sheet and pulls it over her face. Although I continue to try, she gets very upset if I move it before she falls asleep. I know the obvious answer is to take the sheet away but it seems to be here comfort and she doesn't sleep well at all without it.
Does anyone else have a baby with an odd sleep habit?

UGH Elaine I totally hear you!!! I thought it was daycares fault. .. but maybe not - but Aidan does the EXACT SAME THING. For 1 - he sleeps in his carseat - thats a bad enough habit we just cant break - even when he IS on the reflux medicine ... but for 2 - he puts that damn blanket on his face to sleep.... I do the same thing and take it away when he falls asleep - but either he wakes up crying for it ... or - I go in to check on him at night and its BACK THERE!!!! Luckily in my head we are almost out of the danger of SIDS since he is almost 1 - but that still doesnt mean I want a blanket on his head!!!

Does Aidan also turn his head way to the side and squish it into the side of his carseat when he sleeps? Brenna will do that if she doesn't have anything to pull over her head. She literally will sit there turning her head as far as she can possibly get it to go and press her face into the side of the car seat until she falls asleep.

Hard to say ....When he was really little, he would turn his head and like- lick his wrist or something ... now- he does something similar - he always has his face to the RIGHT side - and looking up a little - so he MAY be doing that = and since he cant turn it anymore to the right he looks up???

I was just saying to Scott this weekend... you know how you can hire someone -nanny 911, or super nanny to help with behavior issues???? I wish there was some person who specialized in Habitual Nighttime Issues - and helped out our kids on scheduled by coming in a for a week. ..

That would get Aidan 1) out of his carseat, and 2) help him STOP putting that blanket OVER HIS HEAD!!!

Alyssa used to do it ALL THE TIME! She still does. She will pull it right up to her face to fall asleep.

Kate I was just afraid to give her a blanket - so she just got one at about 18 months when she got a big girl bed.

Brandon's 10 going to be 11 in the spring and he STILL sleeps with his quilt over his head!!

Kieran's opposite - I can't even get him to leave a blanket on his legs while he's asleep! Kicks it off everytime.
