What do you think?

Tonight, I have been having strong BH contractions. They are not regular, I don't think. They are pretty far apart, at least 15 - 20 minutes apart, right now, so I have not been timing them. Should I start or should I just not worry about it? I have probably had half a dozen or so since about 7:15. I am not sure what time it was when the first one started. It was when I got up to go down the stairs to eat dinner.

I had them like crazy at the end with Ethan... and you know with him I started noticing them at 20 weeks. I wouldn't really worry about it unless they become more regular or they really start to hurt a lot.

I dont know... when I thought I was having braxton hicks they were actual real labor and I ended up in the hospital for 2 months...

if they dont go away with water and rest- call the dr !! And just keep an eye on them - timing - (just in case)

I would just keep an eye on how often they are happening, drink lots of water, and rest.

How are you feeling today?

I was sore all day, which is normal. The BH are usually so strong that they cause lower back pain, and then I am sore in my abdomen and back later. It's usually in the evening and overnight when I have them. They will start if I get up and move around, and then I have them after I go to bed. I drink lots of water all day because it's about the only thing I can drink that doesn't make my heartburn terrible.
When I was pregnant with Emily, the Braxton Hicks I had were not like this. I wasn't sore and they didn't hurt nearly so much. It's so different this time.

I definitely get more and stronger BH with each pregnancy. I tend to have them very strong in the evening too. I haven't noticed being sore from them the next day though. I had them the other day for a couple of hours at about 10 minutes apart. I was beginning to think I was in labor! Are you to weekly ob appts yet? I would mention the contractions at your next appt.

Yes, I am at weekly appointments because I am only about 2 1/2 weeks away from my scheduled c-section on October 6. I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago, but my doctor just said that if it's making me dilate, then so be it.

Then I wouldn't worry about it. (I know they're a pain, but...) They'll probably check you for dilation at all your appts. and then move up your c-section if necessary.

No, they won't do any of that. My doctor says that if I dilate, then so be it. He also told me a while back that he isn't changing my date, that I will either go into labor on my own and have an emergency c-section or I'll have the scheduled c-section on October 6.

Well, I guess you'd better get those bags packed just in case.
