Thinning hair

My hair always gets really full and thick during pregnancy and then goes back to normal in the months following. Brenna is over 4 months old though and my hair is still falling out in large amounts. In the shower I can pull out handfulls while washing my hair.
Did anyone else notice any drastic thinning of their hair postpartum?

My hair fell out postpartum, pretty good, too.
when they started eating solids and stopped nursing so much, I think that's when it started to slow down.

Oh I did. Real bad, REAL bad. I posted a whole thing here on it ... I went to the dr and they tested my thyroid and all of this stuff to see what was going on ... fo rme I was also getting my period ALL the time too- they put me on the novaring and it helped things - now my hair is thinner - but Scott actually recently told me that he noticed my hair is no longer falling out (not to be gross but our shower was FULL of hair DAILY- now not at all)

Our shower is too Dina. I even have to clean it out once in the middle of my shower because it completely covers the drain and water stops running through.

Elaine I would touchbase with your dr... thinning hair is normal to a point ... I think what you are describing did sound like mine - and that is excessive!!! They do say thyroids can change after pregnancy so that could be it - but really, I would check, maybe its anemia? Or maybe your hormones are imblanced??

Check with the dr(it wouldnt hurt anyway)
