here you go - http://health.howstuffworks.com/how-...ve-slivers.htm

I've had ones, I just had to let fester out. I know that hurts. I hope it isn't glass. I think they hurt the most.

I am thinking it is a piece of a correll plate that broke yesterday. She dropped it and I swept it all up or so I thought.

What I have done in the last when Joey gets a splinter is soak it really well to soften the skin, then use one of those baby nose-sucker thingies to suck the splinter to the surface.

Grrr she wanted her daddy for the sliver, he was always the only one she would let get her slivers out. I called him mom's this am and asked her to have him call here and told her what was up. I think she was pretty much just looking for some TLC from him. He finally calles at almost 6:30 his bright idea is take her to the ER. No. that is not the answer. I got on the phone and told him that. So now she is crying, he has her all scared and I get to try and fix it and keep Logan under control who is acting like he drank a red bull grrrr.

There was a splinter I had when I was little that my mom coulnd't get to the surface, she used a tiny piece of fatback (or. .what ya'll might call salt pork.. the stuff you put in beans and stuff) and taped my hand. She'd also use a little bandage with gauze and tape and use salt, it draws it up to the surface.

Ed! What a thing to say just because he didn't want to be inconvienced by his own child! Poor Sam. I'm sorry her dad scared her for no reason like that.

I've had someone do the same thing to me as Shona. Also a drawing salve of some kind will usually draw it to the surface. I've used Watkins salve to draw out splinters and things I love it. Even if it doesn't draw it all the way out, it softens the skin enough that it makes it easier to get it out.

my grandmother would use duck tape hope you get it out soon

You can also make a poultice of sugar and soap to draw it out - old remedy's are sometimes the best

as for Ed, when you get the sliver out of Sam you need to insert a LARGE sliver in Ed's arse and make sure you drive it deep enough that he needs to go to the ER to have it removed
