Brandon is getting glasses

Really wasn't much of a surprise when the Ped office told us he was testing at 20/50. Both DH and I wear glasses. I took him on Saturday to get his exam and it was worse than I thought. He has a pretty bad stigmatism in his left eye and a slight one in his right eye. I let him pick out his frames. Not the ones I wanted, but I figured if he picked them, he would wear them. It will take 4 days to get them in, since they were a special order. And he will need to wear them all the time. I felt so bad because he must have a hard time seeing and has never said anything. I guess he just didn't know any better. I will post pics when we get them.

Poor Brandon but at least now he'll be able to see much better. We keep a check on our kids' eyes too since my husband has worn glasses since elementary school.

Don't feel bad. Eyesight usually goes bad slowly. Brandon probably didn't notice it getting worse. David started telling us he couldn't see things and we didn't believe him. (Sounds terrible, but you'd have to know this kid) Finally when he couldn't read the basketball scores on the TV we figured he was telling the truth. It turned out his prescription was -2.5! Whoops! His eyes are way worse than mine or dh's. I felt so bad that I hadn't taken him sooner.
