NEVER again!

I thought I would be a good mommy and take Brandon and Justin to the free outdoor movie at the local park. They were showing Ice Age 2. We got there around 7:00 and met up with some neighbors. The kids ran around and had a blast. Come 8:00, movie starts and it is dark out. Justin was HORRIBLE! He would not lay/sit to watch the movie. Kept running around and then coming back and jumping on us. Brandon and one of the other girls thought it was funny, so that encouraged him. Then he started just running off. As I walked afer him he would run away from me. Towards the end he ran off so fast he was across the street before I could grab him. As I packed my stuff up, I told my neighbors how embarrased I was that they saw what a brat my kid was being. One of the ladies laughed and said she thought I needed to have triplets next, all boys. I told her that wasn't funny!! As we were leaving, he ran off again. This time I got him as he was 1/3 into the street and a car was right there. I ended up dragging him to the van. I WAS SOOOOOO PISSED! When I got home, I just told DH I have never been that embarrased and I would never be taking them to the movies, outdoor or indoor, again!

And yes, he was reprimanded, spanked, threatened and everything else before the evening ended. If Brandon wasn't being so good (at least in the beginning) we would have just left, but I didn't want to punish him for Justin's behaviour.

Maybe next time you should leave and let Brandon dish out some "brotherly discipline" when they get home. Then maybe Justin will think twice before spoiling his brother's good time again. Sorry that the evening wasn't as fun for all as it could have been.

Or you could just take Brandon next time. He can have a "date" with mommy and be rewarded for his good behavior.

Sorry that had to happen to you.

I would have been furious too! Cody and Jessi both have acted like that before, but I've been lucky that TJ is fairly passive.

My dh had such a bad meltdown in Applebee's the other day, I don't think I've ever been so embarassed of her behavior in all my life. It's not just you.
