Emotional Child

Does anyone else have an extremely emotional child?? Haley is only 4, but she is so emotional! She cannot watch anything sad on TV or in a movie without it just breaking her heart. She'll sob for ten minutes after it's over. Tonight I put the movie "Robots" on for her (which she's seen a million times) and when it got to the part where Rodney was leaving his parents at the train station to head to Robot City, she just burst into tears like she hurt herself. I had to hug her and remind her that Rodney comes back in the end and they're all happy. I've never seen a kid react like that to everything and I'm wondering what the teenage years have in store for me!

Liz used to be like that too.....in fact...she sometimes still is.
There are movies that we watch, that I have to fastforward through the sad stuff......or the scary stuff (which i can understand--but she finds things htat are more scarey than most kids do).

She is now 5 1/2 and its not as bad

Tony was really affected by the music, he would freak out at Scooby Doo cartoons bc of the scary music, same with sad or happy music. It slowly went away, he could eventually watch cartoons without crying. But he has always felt things more deeply than the other two.

Maybe you can try turning the sound down a little??
