Feeling overwhelmed by it all

This is my first year having two school age kids and it hasn't been 2 months but I'm really feeling overwhelmed. On top of the tasks of making sure both their homework is done, bookbags being checked for information I need, signing all the daily logs, and repacking them each morning which is hard enough... I have all sorts of due dates and deadlines that I can't see to keep up with.
We've already been through a fundraiser, picture day, and fieldtrips for each of the kids. Haley has had 2 projects due so far this year and Zachary needs something for class every other day it seems. Right now I'm trying to remember that Haley has an essay due on Friday, Zach needs a pumpkin by Friday and needs to wear Green tomorrow, and that I need to pack him a bagged lunch for tomorrow. I'm sure I'll forget something.
lol ... why is it so much harder with two?!?
OMG! Today is Zach's turn at show at tell!

I have a Mom's calander and live by it!!!! My oldeer two know after years of using this system that if it is important, write in on the calander. I have always been a list maker though .. seems to help. I check the calander every Sunday night and then each night before bed.

You'll find a system that works Plus, school slows down after the holidays!

i check his calendar every night and again in the morning.

I'm right there with you....except I also have one in preschool.....even with the calender I keep forgetting things. I'm still waiting for my brain to catch up with all the activity. It was easier when I had the cork board up(it broke last year and I now have no place to put one), I just stuck the important stuff on and high-lighted the date etc.....it was always in the way so easier to remember then the calender is.

Even with only Brandon in school, it seems like there is always something going on! We have already had picture day, school dance and the fall festival. I don't know what I'll do when all 3 boys hit school!!!

Yep, I swear by the calandar too with my 3 in school. And once you add on extra curriculars, it's a mess....

I felt like that last year. I had a new baby and 3 kids in school. This year I made a schedule for everyone to follow during the school week. Christian and Michael are old enough to be responsible for their own stuff(bringing things to me to be signed, and asking for help). I still check Devon's bookbag everyday because he is sloppy and irresponsible. He's getting better though.

Definitely write all important dates on a calendar and homework that's not due right away. I have a file thing(wish I knew what to call it, lol) and it has a slot for each of the boys to put their papers from school in it. That helped me a lot.
