Austin reads a lot on his own, and we read longer, chapter books together.

What books are you and your child reading together??

Austin really likes all of the Junie B. books!

Right now we're on the Junie B... First Grader.......... Boo! And I mean it!

Well Alyssa is still learning to read so it is more of a me reading to her. She has something right now about a salamander.

William and I were working our way through the Little House series, but once we got to These Happy Golden Years, we got out of the habit of me reading to him. I bought him a reading lamp to put beside his bed, and he reads to himself until he's ready to go to sleep. His class has a Cam Jansen Mystery reading challenge this month, so he's been reading those books.

jacob is just learning to read so i read to him... and let him tell me the words that he knows
