what brand/type did you use? Any special reason?

we use the Playtex Ventaire bottles...they are supposed to reduce the amount of air taken in while baby eats...of course we have no basis for comparison, but she seems to like them

With Alyssa I used bottles and honeslty it didn't matter what bottle I used - she had more of a nipple preference.

I'm starting out using Avent bottles. They supposedly have some air flow thing so the air doesn't get in the bottle. I think they all say that now though I only got a couple of them to try so if he doesn't like them I'll try something else.

I used Playtex with Brianna and Avent with the Twins.

With Emily, we tried to use Avent, but she never liked them. Then we switched to Playtex with the disposable liners, and she did okay with those, but she just never really liked taking a bottle.
With Travis, we are using Dr. Brown's and so far, they have been great. Someone told me they work well with babies who have gas, so we thought we would try them this time.

When Austin was born.. the 'new' thing was the J&J healthflow, they are thecurved bottle.. They discontinued them or something, didn't make them when Dylan was born.

Austin didn't care as long as he could suck it down..

Dylan was the one that wanted the nipple to be 'just' right.. ugh..

That may have been Emily's issue, too, but we never tried more than those two types. I think the only nipple she really liked was the ones on my
I am pretty sure that Travis doesn't really mind as long as he can suck it down, too. But, we are having pretty good success with the Dr. Brown's so I am not going to chance it.

I've used Avent with both Lauren and Ryan. I love them!

i used platex the most, loved the drop in liners

I tried pumping some. I had an Avent pump that pumped directly into a bottle, so when I pumped, I used those. For plain formula, I used Platex nursers. As he got older and started using more and when we started putting a little cereal in his bottle, we used Evenflo and Gerber cheap plain bottles. He had more of a nipple preference than a bottle preference.

I hated the Avent bottles I used for Justin, because I always had a leaking problem with them. I can't remember the name of the ones i use now, but I know they are right next to the Dr. brown ones at Babies R Us. Soothies, that is what they are called. I really liked them. Now that he is bigger, I bought the cheapy gerber 3 pack at Kroger and they work just fine.

Avent.

It's been so long ago, I don't really remember. I do know that I tried several different shapes and nipples before I found ones that the babies liked. I'm pretty sure that the older two liked the orthodontic shaped nipples where TJ only liked the "old fashioned" cheapie kind.

I used Playtex with disposable liners. I just found them more convenient.

I wanted to use those Playtex w/ liners so badly, but I could never get any of my kids to take them! Isn't that crazy??

That's what I used with Emily, and she liked them okay, but she never was a big fan of bottles. Her brother, on the other hand, is loving the bottle.
