We came home yesterday and what a hectic day as all you new mothers are aware! Most of you have been keeping up with my labor post and know that it had been several days but by Friday I was ready and so was she. Actually it worked perfectly because my ex was to take Jimmy during the birth and he was leaving out of town as of yesterday for the whole week. Contracting all day on Friday and they started getting into a pattern at about 5 p.m. Jim was due to pick up Jimmy Friday at 6 pm and I called and told him to hurry! Arrived at the hospital at 6:30 ish and was 4 cm dialted and 80% effaced. They made me walk for an hour and a recheck at 7:45 and I was 5 and 100% effaced. Doc decided to keep me but indicated no poticin and no water breaking. She said you have to do this on your own we can't help her come, duh she was coming regardless of what they said. 9:00pm I got my epidural (what a wonderful drug) at 10 ish she came in a broke my water HA HA! Contraction were getting stronger and then died out for a bit. I was able to rest a little not much and then at about 1:30 Mel came to check me and said I was only 7 cm and I was like you got to be kidding. She said doctor order poticin for 2:30 hour if nothing is happening. At 1:45 am I screamed to my mother call nurse Mel she's coming and as you can see from above 4 contractions and 13 minutes of pushing and my beautiful baby girl was here! I was relieved and exhausted, didn't get to my room until 4:30ish WOW what a wonderful experience, I'm so in love with her!
