A little background. His wife of 12 years or so just dumped him about 2 months ago. She had no reason ... just decided she didn't love him anymore. He absolutely worshipped her and put up with a lot of immaturity and stupid crap from her. She has a pretty big extended family and they are all pissed at her for making such a really stupid move ... especially since she did this to him a few years ago and he took her back.
So ... every year, her family throws a Halloween party because they all live in the boonies and there's no place for the kids to go. The party includes a costume contest. Adults and kids dress up, of course. He actually got invited to this because his kids were there and the rest of the family still adores him.
He dressed up as a homeless person and it was hilarious! He picked up an old sports jacket at goodwill, dirtied it up, ripped it, and poured beer on it. Then he made himself a cardboard sign that read "Please Help. Will work for good home. God bless." There was also something smarta$$ written on the back of the jacket along the lines of "jilted twice".
And to add insult to injury ... he won the costume contest, hands down.
