Tekno the Robotic Puppy

Has anybody seen this? Or does anyone have one?

Jonathan saw this on TV Saturday and went nuts. He keeps talking about the "Robot Dog". I was thinking about seeing if Santa could handle this for Christmas. I just don't know anything about them.

OK—I have looked everywhere for this stupid dog. Finally found one at K-Mart (they had 2 of them). $12 more than all the online places. I looked at it, and it had a Try-Me feature, so I tried a couple of things. It barked and lit up and did several different things. It was cute. I know that it will do more than the “Try Me” feature shows, but I’m still not sure it’s worth $50-60. I mean, $50 is a lot of money to me. If he’s gonna tote the thing around like he does his stuffed puppy, then it might be worth the $50, but I’m just not sure it’s gonna be played with that much. I wish I knew somebody that actually had one so I could find out if it’s really a good toy or not.

My dd, who is very into robots, plays with dh's Robosapien a lot. Then again, she watches movies about robots nearly every day. My dh said the best (can do the most stuff, designed by NASA engineers) of the robots are made by Wowee Toys. Here's a link - http://www.wowee.com/products.htm

No kid is more nuts about robots than mine and I'm not sure she'd play with that $50-$ 60 worth.
