I just don't understand this (radio station)

I just don’t get the radio stations around here. This one radio station has been at the 96.5 frequency for YEARS. They have constantly had new staff because they keep losing them to this other station. It's kind of funny, really. But the other station is bigger and has more coverage area.

Well, about a month ago, they moved to 94.9 because it had a bigger tower and “more power to reach more people”. Ok--So, I changed my setting on the radio in the car. (that's the only time I listen to the radio)

Over the weekend they said that they were closing the station and referred everyone to their rival station. What the heck???? They have only been at that frequency for a month (if even that!) and now they’re going off the air.

I’m betting they got bought out by the owners of the rival station. But they had a serious fan base around here. Why would you shuffle your fans around like that if you were planning on going off the air in a few weeks? Makes no sense to me.

Maybe they were foreclosed on. I don't listen to the radio stations around here because they are so bad.

What are the call letters for the station?
I'm going to ask Matt.

More than likely their ratings sucked butt big time before-during- and after the switch over.

I've been trying to figure out (mentally) the call letters and come up with them. I'm curious, too.
