This little goob of mine refuses to sleep in his own bed. He has actually taken to the couch most of the time, unless he's sick or gets scared in the middle of the night, when he comes to my bed.
Well, Yesterday, I took the bed down in the spare room to re-arrange it and get ready to move the new bed in. We moved the old mattress, springs, etc. out in the hall. Well, this afternoon, DH is napping, and I find that Jonathan has wedged the old mattress (this is an old pillow-ticking type mattress) into a V-shape in the middle of the hall. He's laying on it, covered up with a blanket and the excess is folded up along the walls.
So, I ask him if he wants a nap. He starts grabbing the mattress and attempting to carry it toward the living room. (That was a sight!)
So... Guess what's in the middle of my living room floor right in front of the TV????
I told DH that as much as he loves jumping on this thing and laying on it, we ought to just put it in his bedroom floor once we get it cleaned up in there. And he can play on it, jump on it, or sleep on it in front of his TV. Maybe he'd actually start sleeping in his room for once. He never has really slept in there since we moved here 2+ years ago.
Is it terrible to think this way?
