Why wait for the New Year? Join me now...

Well, I decided to do something for me, and that includes loosing some weight. Not that I am overweight, but my pants aren’t fitting that well anymore, and I hate wedgies . So I need to get in shape.
I don’t want to get into some strict regimen of counting calories etc, because I know I will not stick to it, plus I don’t need to. I had some eating problems in my late teens, where I got really obsessed about what I eat and what I weigh, and I don’t want to fall into that, again.
So my plan is to just set me three goals each week. I heard about this somewhere, and I think it is easier for me. So my three goals for this week are:

1)Drink Water instead of juice (I already drink almost no soda, and I learned to dislike the taste)
2)No candy in bed or at work (That’s when I eat most, and to tell me not to eat any at all will set me up for failure, especially after Halloween)
3)Get 30 minutes of outside activity time every day (of course, when it is pouring, I will have to do it inside) I am not talking about strict exercise, but maybe just playing catch or bike or ball etc outside with the boys.

I could think of tons of other healthy little changes, but that’s my goal for this week. Anybody want to join me on my “three-goals-a-week-to-a-healthier-me” trip? What are your three goals?

I think its a great idea.

I however am waiting until Ms. Payton is here. Then I will jump on board. However I can join you with these 3.

Welcome aboard. I am way to lazy to excercise 30 - 60 minutes daily, but I think every little bit helps. And you get your good habbits started today, you might not have to loose that much once Miss Payton shows her pretty face.

I am up for it. Although I have lots more than you to lose!

Who cares how much you have to loose. Getting better habbits and getting healthy is all that really matters. So what are your three goals for this week?

Oh girl, I am right here with ya! I wish we could skip over halloween completely cuz it is my downfall to dieting every single year! I should be happy though, this year I have only gained 5pnds and last year at this time I had gained 15-all from freakin' halloween candy! I got my butt back in the gym today and told dh just to TELL me that I am going every day with him instead of ASKING me. I need a swift kick in the arse right now. I am also going to try to drink more water, I'm bad about that. My goal is 10pnds within the next four weeks.

Why set your goal so high, Krista? That is 2.5 pounds a week, that's almost half a pound a day. You can do that much for a few days, but how are you going to burn that much extra?
I always find it very motivating to set a rather slow goal (like 1 pound a week), and if I actually exceed that goal, I feel so good. If I set a high goal, I feel bad if I "only" lost 2 pounds, because I am behind what I have set myself to achieve. Does that make any sense?

Well I've kept up with walking and making sure I eat/drink healthy. Once Gabe's here I'm kicking my butt into gear and DH's. We're going to really make sure we walk. I've got a wedding in May that I'm going to plan to look SMOKIN'! at. Luckily I'm only at my prepregnancy weight now so I don't have too much extra baby weight to lose. It's just regular weight I"m holding on to

Okay Eva, I want to lose at least this extra 5pnds in 4 weeks then (how come we can gain it so quickly but it takes forever to lose? Just SO unfair!lol)

I'm trying to get back on board with the MS diet. I've slipped up a couple of times this week. I'm only 4 pounds over my prepregnancy weight. Not that my dr appreciates that. He's after me to loose. Since the weather has turned bad, we haven't been walking much. I hope to get back to my tae bo as soon as the dr okays it. I miss it so much!

Lose while pregnant???? Loser!
Well welcome aboard. The part I thought would be the easiest turns out to be the hardest: getting 30 minutes of outside exercise... I gotta figure out how to add time to my day. There has got to be a way to make days 30 hours...

I'm game. I just started a new program (Turbo Jam) and hope to take off some weight. (I've lost about 15 pounds since July, but my long term goal is 80 pounds)

I exercise about 1 hour a day, drink plenty of water and try to make healthy eating choices.

You ladies should join us over at PFZ. (Dawn's other website) We have a great support team for those trying to loose weight and get healthy.

I've lost 4 of the 5pnds that I had gained I feel soooooo much better now!
I need to work out today though. I haven't worked out in two days but in my defense I have worked and had a lot to do to get ready for the party yesterday.

good for you, Krista.
I stepped on the scale this morning and was amazed I had lost 3 pounds. But I didn't really eat to much after my surgery, so I am sure some of that is just being empty.

Are you feeling better today?

Physically, yes. I cleaned up some today and then started bleeding again heavier, so I think I should get my butt back on the couch, but I am tired of doing nothing. But I'll go back once the dishes are out of the dishwasher and the dirty ones are in.
Mentally, read my post in my journal, I think I am loosing my marbles, LOL

That's okay, I am used to the mentally unstable! I hope you feel more like yourself very soon.
