T-shirts?

Well I finally got around to doing most of Gabe's laundry today
While putting it away I realized I don't have any t-shirts, just onsies. I know that his umbilical cord will be uncomfortable for a bit and I heard that t-shirts would be better then onsies. Anyone NOT use t-shirts and just onsies right away? I honestly don't have the money to go out and buy even a pack of t-shirts right now and I don't know that I will before he gets here. I might be able to hit my mom up for them otherwise

I didn't. When I was in the house I just made sure it was warm enough and laif them on a blanket in just a diaper.

Mom bought me a TON of t-shirts (like 20) with Kate though. If I still have them I can pass some on your way (along with the bathtub )

oh cool, I don't need many of them, just enough to get me started. Ah I forgot, my mom got a bathtub last week and dropped it off so I don't need it anymore but thanks

we mainly used sleepers and onsies. didn't really pay much attention to the cord it took care of itself

I used onsies with all of my kiddos and they never seemed to bother them. Just make sure that they are loose enough on the belly. It's only a week till it falls off, I wouldn't worry about buying a bunch of t-shirts, they are not the greatest with them being so small (they ride up). I can't wait till Gabe and Payton get here! Wish I could hold them though. I need to suck all the sweet baby smell out of their heads! It's all mine I tell you, MINE MINE MINE!!
Okay, I think that I am losing my sanity today-lol

I never used t-shirts with either one. The onesies were not that tight and there was plenty of room in them. If you have a big baby and he fills out his 0-3 month onesies right off the bat, put him in the next size up until his cord falls off.

Krista you crack me up. We need to find a way to bottle that smell.

We just used onesies. Never seemed to be a problem.

Oh, Krista....just come to my house honey. I have 7 month old that would just LOVE some Auntie Krista attention!

Jonathan was a cold weather baby, so most of his things were long sleepers and one-piece outfits. His umbilical cord never really seemed to bother him.
