Ugggghhhh, Cori is in 6th grade and that is something we are dealing with now. I do not want her to wear it yet. We are going through the "but all of my friends are wearing it" crap. She goes to school and puts it on there.
I have slacked off a bit and told her she could wear the colored lipgloss and a little blush. Do not like it but...well, I did it myself in 6th grade. I did get her to back off a bit by getting her hair highlighted. I have a friend that does hair so she came over and did a little make over on Cori.
I am mainly just trying to keep her from wearing mascara and eyeliner right now. She looks awesome when she wears it (but way too much older!). She uses someones as school (ick) and its apparently pretty cheap because by the time she gets home, she has racoon eyes. I think i broke her of that by taking pics of her several days after school. Once she saw it, she was not too quick to do it again.

Ugh..... 14 sounds good to me... Of course she's 5 right now, so it's easy for me to say that.

My friends and I fought with my mom over it when I was in 8th grade. Brittany will play with it in the house. I tell her a little goes a long way and she really understands.

Emily has a buttload of it already from her bday. I will let her wear a little bit when we run to WM or something but I haven't really discussed how to actually 'wear' make up yet. I should have plenty of time before I hafta worry about that!LOL!
I remember sneaking it in 5th grade. I won't mind my girls wearing light lip gloss and blush at a young age but the full face should wait until 8th grade IMO. But times are a changin' so my mind may change on that as well. I figure that there are bigger battles to fight at that age. I am more concerned as to what she will be wearing in middle school, not so much how much make up she wears.

For some reason, the girls around here seem to be mostly into eye liner and not much for blush and lipstick. I gave up the fight about it this year and let her wear it as long as she doesn't go overboard with it.

Well Tessa already has some makeup, but it's for play and she isn't allowed to wear it out of the house. Thankfully we are not close to this fight yet (at least I hope not). I figure when she turns 12 or 13 I will do for her what I did for my neice for her birthday last year. (her mom didn't like it though) I knew she was sneaking friends makeup, because I caught her with it on thick!! So my MIL and I went to the store and got her some pale lipgloss (3 colors I think), a light blush, and some powder. Than my MIL (she's a beautician) gave her some lessons in how to make herself up lightly with it and still look natural. And although her mom wasn't happy at first that we bought her makeup, once she realized why (she didn't know Nikki was sneaking Makeup) and how much better this was than the alternative she was happy with it.
That's my plan for Tessa 12 or 13 lipgloss, blush and plain powder. We will discuss other makeup from there... I really don't know.
