normal or not?

OK so I know he's outta room in there. Yesterday though he was pretty normal in movements. There were a couple of times during the day he really bounced around like normal, especially after dinner which he's done the whole time. Then today he's been moving around but I feel like I've prompted him alot and it's never been "alot" of movement at one time.
My appt is on Tues but I could always call in the morning. I'm not worried enough to call in the middle of the night since he *is* moving but should I be going in tomorrow? Or is it pretty normal for them to really change movement patterns at the end?

i have no experience since i was induced early, but i think i remember reading somewhere that the baby sometimes becomes 'less' active in the last day or so as they are saving energy or something for the delivery??

again this is just something i think i remember reading, no idea really

I think my doctor told me that if I felt ten or more movements within a 30 min period in the morning, then one in the afternoon, and one in the evening, then he was fine. That counted if I prompted him or drank some OJ or caffiene to get him going and then laid down.
If you are worried, though, I would call.

Ya he moved around once I drank OJ and sat still for a bit. I just thought it was weird that I had to prompt him so much today. He's moving around now like crazy...so I think he's just a night owl Hopefully he's just getting ready to make the big journey.

most babies slow down at the end, resting up for birth.

Slowing down is normal at the end but babies in the womb are like any other person, they have active days and they have slow and tired days.
I worried so much during my last pregnancy because of my previous still birth that my midwife had to remind me over and over again that movement was movement and it didn't matter how or why I felt it as long as I felt it.

they become less active the closer youget....there is not a lot of room in there now.....especially if he has dropped and his head is where it needs to be....then there is not really much movement going to happen. HOpefully this just means you are closer to being ready to go
