That the hospital will be sending me home with a BABY! All you need to go home is a car seat. Other then that they just turn you loose! I'm not a total newbie when it comes to babies but still...I know I'm such a freak

I've been having these flashes of thought today and that is one of them. There's no manual, no instructions, and they just send you home. I wish I had bought the "what to expect during baby's first year" now, I'll have to go out and get it after he's home. Too bad I can't stop BEFORE Friday. Then I could read it friday night, it would be like cramming for an exam

Ok return to your regularly scheduled day ladies.

This is a true story:
When Kyle and I were in the car taking Emily home from the hospital, I leaned up and said, "Kyle, they really sent us home with her."
Kyle: "Yes, they did." He was probably thinking, "Well, DUH! She's our kid."
Then I said (very panicked), "Do you think that they knew we don't know what do to with her? I mean, WHY would they let us take her if they knew we didn't know anything?"
And I was SO SERIOUS! I must have thought that they should have given us a crash course or something before we left. We still talk about this today and laugh about it.
