My uterus is measuring bigger than 13 wks

So I am 13 wks 4 days. I had an appointment yesterday and heard the heartbeat which really helped to make this feel real!! I haven't had any morning sickness, no nothing!! Just my belly already starting to pop! Which sure seems early to me but this is my 3rd pregnancy. As soon as my midwife put the doppler on my belly she got the heartbeat right away, she even said that was the best heartbeat she has ever heard from a 13 wk. Then after that she felt my uterus, and asked if it's possible we have the wrong due date. I'm thinking great I'm not as far along as I thought, but oh well, she says that my uterus feels bigger than a 13 wk and more like a 15 wk. But I am positive when AF showed up!! She said it could be that I am 15 wks, twins or that my uterus is just bigger this time cuz it's #3. Twins do not run in either of mine or dh's families, so I'm thinking my uterus is just bigger.

So my question is those of you with more than 1 pregnancies, did your Dr ever think or say they thought your uterus was measuring bigger than what the EDD should be? And what was the result? Were you actually due sooner or just had a bigger uterus?

I hope this all makes sense it's getting late and I'm getting tired but I am just curious if this is normal to have a larger uterus with multiple pregnancys. TIA!!!

I actually measured bigger with my first pregnancy and they moved my due date up 2 weeks. My periods are like 28 day clock work, so you can still be further along than you think.

I have always measured right on. I have looked farther along earlier during my 3rd and 4th pregnancies, but the measurements were still consistent with my due date.

The only time my uterus measured bigger that early in my pregnancy was when I was pregnant with Twins.

Thanks everyone!! I'm going crazy cuz my midwife decided to just wait to do an ultrasound around18 wks. Which normally would just be fine, but IF I am earlier or..... gulp... twins I just HAVE TO KNOW!!! lol I have no patience!! She said since I have been feeling so good that IF there are twins then I would have to go through a bunch of testing, which I'm sure many of you are aware of. So she said let's just wait. Of course now I can't sleep! My dh thinks I'm crazy! So now it's just waiting, I have to wait about 5 wks. aggg that seems like forever!!! My next appointment is Jan 23.

With Ryan I measured ahead a lot. When I was 35 weeks I measured 40 WEEKS! They did U/S and at week 37 they induced me. I was thankful... I was ready to explode!

I actually measured small at my first appointment with the twins, the doctor was concerned that I was measuring small and did an ultrasound. Now of course I'm measuring WAY ahead LOL.
