I wonder what is going to happen now that he is dead....and I truly hope that he is dead, and not hidden somewhere.

You and me both, Liz.

I nearly cried when I heard the news. My dh and I were disabled in Saddam's chemical weapons attacks. It does my heart good to see a free, democratic Iraq (and free from Saddam's tryany) use their own legal system to try, convict and execute their tormentor of so many years. It doesn't make it okay, but it does make it more worthwhile to actually start feeling like one day freedom and democracy will reign in Iraq. We finished what we started in 1990. My war is truely over at last.

I just watched the video clip on cnn.com too.. it is morbid, but so surreal.. is that even the right way to explain it? I don't know.

i know what you all mean.....its hard to believe that he has FINALLY been put to death. You are right Robyn, its surreal........and I think that a lot of people needed to be able to see him being hanged in order to believe that he is really dead.

Well, I tried to watch it, but I can't do it. I just can't watch it, but I am not sad that he is gone. He got what he deserved.
