Do you make Valentine's Bags

for your children to take to school and give to their class or do you just stick to the paper cards?
I have a few times and I really enjoy doing it but the past few years money has been tight and with 2 in school right now, I'm just not sure I can afford it this year.

We do something each year. Last year we made a pop up card that had little hearts on the end of an "explosion" .. really cure. The hearts were chocolate. My older two made theirs with $1 gift certificates to McDonalds on the end of theirs.

Dont' know what we will do this year?!

My kiddos are too small for this (just in daycare). However, when we were little it was just the paper cards. Is this something new (treat bags)? I would imagine that would get a little costly. I'd probably stick with the paper cards seeing they just toss the stuff anyway. I think Current has some cute options that aren't too expensive.

Roughly 1/4 of the kids now days bring something extra other than the paper cards. My kids come home with so much candy and novelty stuff at Valentine's that it is ridiculous. It does get pricey but if you order from oriental trading or buy things at the dollar store it isn't so bad. I can usually get away with about $15 - $20 per class

Our sitter always just did cards. She'd give the kids candy or a small gift, but we just exchanged little Valentine cards for the kids themselves.

Last year, when he was in the preschool program, they did cards. They didn't ask for candy, but some parents sent lollipops and things.

I figure the daycare will do something. I got the little Valentine Play-Doh things. There were 15 cans in a bag for $3, so I think I'm gonna do that and a sucker for each kid and just attach it to a card. I will probably make my own cards this year.

We exchange cards in daycare. I might do something this year, just depends on when I get started. If I do it, I will do for Justin's daycare class and Brandon's kindergarten class. I usually head to the dollar store or something.
