Jonathan has a birthday on the 23rd. He will be FIVE. ((YIKES!!!))

I am thinking about going to a Asperger’s/Autism playgroup on the 13th at an indoor pool in Cinci. This will be our first trip out with this group. But it’s the first time they’ve had anything close enough that I thought he might enjoy.

We started OT this month. So far, so good, but he’s only had one session.

Other than that, he’s growing like a weed. 45 inches tall. Weighs 52 pounds.

His new fascination is Play Doh. Still loves gears and puppy dogs.

For William this month I am focusing on building his fine-motor/pre-writing skills. He is really behind in this area. He got color wonder markers and an aqua doodle for Christmas so using those will help. He also got play dough which is supposed to strengthen hands so I'll try to overlook the mess and let him play with it more. He is showing some interest in doing school work so I'm going to try to capitalize on that. Also, I've got to get back in the habit of regularly reading to him. Last, I'm going to try to get him back in the habit of using the potty BEFORE he wets his pants. I don't know what it is about my boys but they have both had terrible potty issues well after being potty trained.

So, what does everyone have planned for January?

--Nothing much, she goes MWF to school and right now they are concentrating on the months of the year, the days of the week and writing the letters

Any birthdays or other special events?

nope

Any new interests or skills?

Rhyne learned a nursery rhyme (about some bird?) and she is also learning the pledge of allegiance! Oh, they also made bird feeders so she is excited about putting it out for all the birds to come eat (and I'm thinking about all the poo associated with said birds) She got a power wheels 4 wheeler for xmas (along with her brother) and she loves riding it with her dad and taking braylen on rides. It is too funny.

Doesn't seem like any of them should be this old, does it?

January plans? Nothing special, well I lied I just remembered we are going to try to get Desiree to go to bed on her own. As of today she will only go to sleep if read to or me or DH are laying with her. Today is the first night she will go to sleep on her own.

Any birthdays or other special events? Nope not this month.

Any new interests or skills? She loves to sing, she got a little mic radio from MIL and she loves it and won't put it down. She also got some play make up, I got home yesterday to Desiree with pink eye shadow on her eye brows only. It was cute, DH told her she was our own little clown.

Name: Raymond

Age: he just turn 5

Whats New: my son has turned into a video game fanatic. he got a gamecube for Xmas and he has already forgotten about his other toys. Ive had to set some guidelines when it comes to playing video games. Lately Ive been letting him play more of his Vsmile and computer games cause at least theyre learning games. Hes also been into playing Legos.

Accomplishments: He just started his second season of Tball. He was already recommended to start playing with the older kids, coach pitch but Daddy wants to keep him at where hes at. Hes been more organized on cleaning up his room even if its hiding his clothes, lol.

Ok, i guess i will have to confess, i still don't see Logan as a preschooler, but he is, and i am going to have to just let him grow up already.

he will turn 4 on Feb 11th

We are progressing with our piano lessons, slowly but surly, he is finally starting to sing some of the songs when prompted
His first recital is Feb 4th it is going to be so cute to watch him up on stage smiling at everyone!

One of his favorite sayings right now is stating matter of factly, 'boys have penis's and girls don't'
always causes laughter from that person that hasn't heard him say it. and no, we didn't encourage this

so for this month we are going to work on his singing and motions with the songs as well as his rhythm and drum playing

So, what does everyone have planned for January? Not much just keeping my boy busy... In other things than the X-box.

Any birthdays or other special events? His Birthday (5 here too) is in March and I think I will have a bowling birthday party for him and his guy friends.

Any new interests or skills? His reading is getting really good. I still feel he is looking at the pictures to help his words out instead of actually sounding them out but the teacher says that when you start reading that is done by beginners. He is so into this whole Star Wars XBox legos game. I use it for leverage in so many things. Especially in school and listening to the teacher.

He is not the biggest in his class of 18 but he is a very popular boy...
