ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (AP) -- A faint sound made Albert and Peter Kottke stop and look around as they hiked out of the Gila Wilderness at the end of backpacking trip.

Wow! She certainly had a guardian angel or two, having survived that long on her own. Hopefully if she camps again, she'll take along a partner, and maybe even a cell phone (or other emergency radio device).
