For his birthday last year, we bought Joey a Plasma Mug. We just got around to using it a few days ago, and it was really cool. I wiped it off after use, and put it back on its stand this evening, and we sat down to eat pizza (he didn't use it tonight).
About an hour ago (an hour after we finished eating), we heard a horrendous pop and glass shattering. The mug EXPLODED all over the kitchen!!!
The base it was sitting on was NOT turned on. We spent the last hour picking up glass shards, and we're going to throw away our remaining pizza and our big container of salad, as they were sitting on the counters that were showered with glass.
Thank goodness we were downstairs, and no where near this thing when it blew up. I called the company, and the receptionist told me the product manager would get back to me within 48 hours. I don't necessarily want them to do anything, but good grief - this product is downright dangerous!
