After yesterday's fiasco with my church/pastor, I was later getting to my mom's than I had hoped. She was not in a good mood--very snippy and grumpy. (Is that normal at this stage?) And she was tired because the housekeepers my sister hired had been there and then they thought there was a gas leak at her stove, so my sister had to get everyone out of the house and take Mom over to the neighbor's. That just threw Mom off, and she was tired and crabby all day.
She threw up a bit of brown stuff yesterday morning. My grandmother, who also died of cancer, threw up what seemed like gallons of that (I think it's blood) on the day she died, so I was scared. Angie kept saying it was coffee, but I was skeptical, though I couldn't really argue since I didn't see it. The CNA that sits with Mom at night did tell Angie that she didn't think it was coffee and that it was not a good sign.
Mom was sore and nauseous and saying she just didn't feel right all day yesterday.
Phyllis said for us to rest a lot because it's drawing near.
Angie and I are going this morning to make preliminary funeral arrangements for my mom.
If Mom remains coherent for the next couple of days, Angie will stay here. I am so glad she's been here with me through this. I cannot imagine doing it alone.

I am so sorry Tammy, I pray God give you the strength you need.
