Redeocrating the landry room ..

We are redecorating the laundry room ... when you walk into our house it is a split level entryway .. you can see straight into the downstairs. Straight into my laundry area.


SOOO .. we are redecorating the laundry room. We are STILL working on 100% completely refinishing the basement and putting maple flooring down, so we are working on the laundry room right now.

What color is your laundry room? What kind of decorations? What are your MUST HAVE for the laundry room?

I think we are going to do the walls white .. the flooring is a little dark, so I think white walls. My accents are "vintage" looking and I could really go with another color, but white is good. BUT .. it is right off the garage .. yucky dirty cars and motorcycles .. you get the idea.

I REALLY REALLY want a folding island .. hopefully we can find the room for one!

decorate a laundry room??????? Heck hon my laundry is on the main floor....in our bathroom......the wall color in there (just like the rest of my house) is Tequila........we have a shelf above the washer and dryer.......I want to get another shelf in there....or even 2......as i find that that area is great storage for things such as cleaners and such

My laundry room is the basement - so its cold cemeny floor with cold cement brick. Not very inviting.

oh yeah the one thing i do want to do is make some sort of a curtain so i can hide my machines....the mess on them and above them

I found a sign for above the entryway door that says "Laundry .. drop your pants here" that is red and I think I'll use that as my going point for decorating. I KNOW I want an island. My floor is cement right now too Karen .. But the room is actually a good size .. 10 feet wide by 16 feet long .. plus we have a cupboard under the stairs room for Moose, the kitty liter box and a little storage.


I can't WAIT to get it started!!!
