Looks away

Whenever anyone is carrying Gabe he ALWAYS looks away from whoever is carrying him. It doesn't matter which arm you carry him in, I've tried, he looks away from you. I assume it's because he wants to see what's going on around him but I think it's odd that he even tries to do it when you're feeding him. Is that normal? Is he just more interested in everything else? He'll look at you if you're playing on the floor mat with him just not when you hold him.

I think it's pretty normal. Sometimes my dd will look at me and sometimes she looks away. Mostly, she looks at my You can tell where her priorities are.

baby's tend to stare off to the right or left never looking directly infront of them. I don't find it unusual that he doesn't stare or look at you often. I think that is a social development and will come with time.

I agree with the other ladies that it is normal. A bit sad though when you want them to gave lovingly in your eyes and connect with you during feedings though.
They are just learning so quickly and there is so much for their little minds to absorb.
