Hand Me Downs

Do your kids mind them? ( Obviously not the older girls, we all KNOW they mind ) But your littles ones, do they really care? Do your older ones throw fits because "Hey That's My shirt" ?

Cody doesn't much mind, once he's outgrown a shirt. However, TJ is another story. He's a bit obsessive and refused to wear anything that was obviously "Cody". He doesn't mind tshirts and things of that nature, but let me try to put on a Hawaiian print shirt that Cody used to wear and he throws a fit.

Of course, he only has about 3 long sleeve shirts he'll wear anyway ... and I've bought him several new ones, hoping that he would wear them if they didn't belong to his brother.

Jessi actually doesn't mind the hand me downs because my niece only wears expensive stuff and she has so much, she barely wears them before they are outgrown.

He doesn't know the difference.

Personally, I always loved hand me downs, and I still do. My stepsister always had nice name-brand stuff he mom bought her that we could never afford. So, I loved it when she brought me stuff. I didn't care that it wasn't new, because it was new to me.

My kids have never had to wear something that belonged to their sibling because... well it just wouldn't work. BUT they both know that a large majority of their clothes come from yard sales and thrift stores and don't mind a bit.

Nope - mine don't mind. Kate will just take things that are Alyssa's and put them on. Lys doesn't care as long as its clean and in good shape. She rarely gets hand me downd though,

Nate doesn't mind... and Jacob doesn't mind either cuz we have gotten some clothes given to us for him...plus I buy some clothes at yard sales....
