Antibiotics and dairy products

Thread Starter
I am on doxycycline right now for my bronchitis. The doctor told me not to have any milk within an hour or so of taking the doxy, or it would bind together and wouldn't be absorbed. So far, no problem. But this morning, I wasn't thinking and had a breakfast sandwich that had cheese on it. Is it just milk that causes a problem, or should I avoid all dairy products?

I haven't taken my dost this morning, so I am going to wait a little while to take it, but for future reference, it would be nice to know.

Thanks!

I don't know for sure, but I'd say avoid all dairy, just to be on the safe side.
