He is trying to drive me insane.
He now knows his days of the week, though we are working on learning them out of order. He can recite them, but that doesn't mean he KNOWS them. We are also still working on the months of the year and how many days are in each month. His favorite thing to do is math and matching skills. We need to work harder on his handwriting and his reading, but he is reading more and more words I've noticed. Since we don't sit down and work through a book or go through a lesson plan, I think he learns better and he doesn't lose patience ( and neither do I) But every little thing is a learning experience for us. He asks me a question and I will try to get him to figure out the answer on his own. He loves to ask what does ____ spell? and I will have him try to sound it out.
Something I found that works really well for Ian is the Leap Frog Videos. Talking word factory, talking letter factory, math circus, story caper.. Etc. there are several out there and I think we have them all. Ian and Kyan both adore these and they really do make a difference.

We are doing okay but I am making a schedule. We used to homeschool late in the afternoons and did what we could but sometimes things get placed aside and we have to play "catch up."
Well, starting on Monday we are going on a schedule on subjects covered each day. No TV or computer until we are done with the day's lessons.
I'm buying next school year's curriculum. It will be a mixture of things since we are eclectic. I started a online homeschool blog on Wordpress. That way friends and families can keep in touch on our family and homeschooling.
Next spring, When Matthew is 2 1/2 I'll start a toddler bible curriculum called "Little Hands to Heaven" and I'll also use some ideas from www.letteroftheweek.com
Oh, we are TTC baby #3. Timothy and I talked about it and we both want to try for another child. That would be it for me.

Re: March Homeschooling Roll Call!
HiNew to the forum and good reading so far sounds like you are doing a great job on something that can be very hard so well done to you. This topic something I wish got more publicity in America and the UK because things are very similiar between both countries when it comes ot the state of our public school system.
I for one recommend home schooling over public schools and I know with dedicated parents like we have here then the children mentioned are going to have a better education.
