So, I am sitting in the parking lot waiting to pick up DD, about 10 minutes before they get out of school. And my DH calls. He asks me to pick up my SD. Which was fine. But it just irritated me b/c my SD's mom had just called him. Who waits until 10 minutes before school is out to make sure her daughter has someone to stay with?!? I mean, come on, I know that I make sure my daughters stuff is together the night before! And I understand that she had to work late but I am sure she would've known that earlier today and what would she have done if I hadn't been at the school?!?! Because this is actual not a normal day for me to be picking up my DD, she is at her daddys normally. This is the last minute stuff I was talking about! I mean, I understand that things do happen like this from time to time. But with her, its constant. Everything is last minute. But oh well..we did get some extra time with my SD. And the kids are all leaving me alone to play with her..lol! Thanks for letting me vent! 
It's hard to be sympathetic when you don't know if it's a real emergency or not. I'm glad that you enjoy spending time with you SD though.
