Woman sues doctors after failed abortion

A Boston woman who gave birth after a failed abortion has filed a lawsuit against two doctors and Planned Parenthood seeking the costs of raising her child.

My sympathy is limited for this lady. First off, I don't feel her reasons for wanting an abortion are that great. That shouldn't play into it, but it does for me. And the fact she is 45. At 45, she should know about adoptions and birth control for that matter. She had options even when the baby was born and she knew that unless she is the most isolated person on the planet. Which if she is going to Planned Parenthood and getting pregnant in the first place, she isn't.

I understand she's upset, but if she can afford a lawyer to sue all those people, then she has the money to raise a child, she just doesn't want to. If I were on the jury, I wouldn't award her enough money to make it worthwhile for a lawyer to take her case. And mainly it's because of her age. I expect a woman of her age to be informed.

hmm looking at is as a juror would I could in theory see her suing for the medical costs incurred during her pregnancy and birth. After that she could have given the child up for adoption. Other then that I don't think she could really sue for anything else. If she then chose to keep the child the costs of raising the child are her own.

Also in theory we don't know what she's paying for the lawyer either, they could be doing it pro bono.

OK I can see suing for medical costs and stuff like that....but child rearing costs?????? I mean heck, no one said she has to keep her child.....and ummmmmm if you are 20 weeks pg....how can you not know it???? I know that some people can go full term and not know it...but come on...

My question is this? Ok...she wanted an abortion b/c she could afford to raise the child. Sooo.... why didn't she adopt the child out at birth if that was TRUELY the case?

And give me a BREAK. You can buy OTC pregnancy tests in every price range..... you cannot tell me she couldn't think something was going on. No one is THAT stupid and can still breathe independently.....

I feel sorry for the little one.

The only one o feel sorry for at all is the child. If that woman is gonna go through all this to blame someone else because ,at 45 years old, she had to grow up and take responsibility for her own actions, she is probaly the type of person who will take that resentment and bitterness out on the child. Personally, i think she's just money hungry and jumped at what she saw as an oppurtunty to get some easy money.
