Winning the Parenting War by David Clarke, Ph.d

I recently read this book and loved it! You should check it out but that is not the reason I am posting. In the book it gave four suggested things that we, parents, should do with each child everyday. Young to older children. And it was really simple and just really good so I wanted to share.

#1 was to say I love you to each child personalizing it with their name
#2 one loving touch to each child a day (shoulder squeeze even counts for teens)
#3 eat one meal together each day
#4 to share one thing personal about your day with your children so they will feel they can share with you.

And the best part about it was, as Clarke said, that you could do all these at the one sit down meal.

So, I wanted to share that. Just really thought it was good!

Those are really good suggestions. I think the only thing we don't really do regularrly is eat a meal together.

Good tips! It's so important to eat dinner together. We always did this in my family and I think it really made a difference. Gabe sits with us now to eat even.
