ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - New Mexico is on the verge of becoming the latest state to require sixth-grade girls to be vaccinated against a sexually transmitted virus that can cause cervical cancer, a spokesman for the governor said Monday.



I hope that by the other states keep catching on.

I'm soooo torn on this one. My doctor recomends the vaccine and I also believe it to be benneficial but I have problems with being told I HAVE to do something with my own child.

I don't see any difference in requiring shots before starting school and requiring this shot...I'm all for it!

My state's talking about it too. I hope they do. Then insurance will for sure pay for it and it is an expensive shot.

They can't make you do it. You can say you don't want certain shots and sign a waiver.
