I thought this was a pretty good article for just about anybody, whether you want to work inside the home or outside the home.

I know that working in HR, one of the things I have to do is log and sort through resumes to be passed on to my boss or the other managers. They throw things out really fast if they have:

-Typos.

-Handwritten information added at the bottom.

-Things that have been crossed out and written over.

-Things that have liquid paper on them.

-Photocopies of an original resume that have copier streaks on them.

-A really LONG resume. They like it short, sweet, and to the point, but with as much information as possible in that short space. It’s hard to do, I know. The last time we advertised for a position, this guy sent a notebook (literally) full of information about things he’d worked on in the past, and it was just overkill.

The thing that got me was that I didn't realize under the typo thing just what the typos actually were until I read it 4 or 5 times.
