Unusual health problems during pregnancy

We were talking about this at work the other day and I thought I'd bring it up for discussion here.

Have you (or has anyone you know) ever experienced health problems during pregnancy that you didn't normally have?

I'm not talking about morning sickness or cravings or anything you'd normally think of during pregnancy.

I work with a lady who had heart murmurs when she was pregnant with her first. Never had them before and hasn't had them since. Another lady I work with had weird twitching in her hands. My aunt fainted all the time when she was pregnant with #2. That kind of thing.

Heart murmurs... r/t the increase in fluid volume during pregnancy. Usually disappears after delivery.

I had MASSIVE fluid overload and almost went into Respiratory failure after Lauren was born. They got the fluid off and I was fine.

Not really. Usually, my MS gets better when I am pregnant. My sister and cousin got diabetes. Now, they have it for life.

During  pregnancy, your body undergoes a number of changes as your baby develops inside your womb. Some of these changes can be early signs of pregnancy. There are also a number of conditions that are more common during pregnancy; however most are not serious and tend to be temporary.
