We got a bird stuck in our old chimney in the kitchen... so I went out to open it up.. hoping the bird would come out outside....

I came back in and the bird was flying around the kitchen and went into the dining room to the living room.... the two dogs along with the cat managed to bring it down and pretty much get it killed...(actually it could have been dead and just having nerve movements..)... and the cat wanted to eat it... so i had to go get the shovel and take the poor thing outside!!

You're glad you didn't let her eat it. My experience with cats not used to eating wild game is that they when they do. Cleaning up bird would be a whole lot worse. Trust me on this one.

I'd be both. I had a cat that used to bring us home "presents" all the time At least I knew my cat loved us

it was funny... i'm just glad that it happened when someone was home... i would have hated to have come home to a dead bird in my living room!!

I know the feeling. I walked out into the garage without any shoes on and found a dead mouse at the bottom of the steps and a dead bird by the back door. The cats looked so proud. I could have died!
