Nope - I don't do baskets.

This is the first time Alyssa asked me WHY the bunny doesn't come to our house.

Jonathan is spending Spring Break with the inlaws, so he won't be here for Easter. But, I did go get him soem plastic eggs and a stuffed dog wearing bunny ears. He's been playing with those for about a week. He's not big on candy, and I'm not big on vacuuming up Easter grass, so....

not this year but I'm going to have one ready for next year. I'm going to shop after Easter.

I still get a basket at my grandparents house, they even hid it til I was married It was a lot of fun when my brother and I were older. If we found the other person's basket we'd move it so they had to keep looking.

I can't WAIT for Gabe to have one.

All except for the candy. Dh will be picking that out. We'll probably just wait for the after Easter sales since we are waiting until nicer weather.

Yep, got it all. I always get the girls an outfit or something with the baskets but this year I am doing it differently. I am going to make up a little certificate from the Easter Bunny telling them that they get to go shopping with me and pick it out themselves. They are all so picky now and have so many clothes so I figured that would be the best. Plus, they love shopping so that will be an added plus.

Not yet, I haven't been able to get out there. My aunt gave me a gc to walmart to get some of their things, but George gets a good paycheck this week ( actually almost 40 hours ! )
so I wanted to wait until tomorrow night. I was going to get the cheap $1 baskets and cheap things but they really don't like them, and the cheap candy is pretty nasty. SOo... I am going to spend our money on the baskets and then the gc on the candy and a few little cheap toys. If they were girls, I would follow JenS' plan too. I want her as MY mom!

OK, I now have the hang of the fact that you guys can buy hollow eggs to stuff with things (As far as I am aware that does not exist here) but easter grass???

It's plastic shredded grass. It comes in tons of colors. That was the first quick link I could find and it's purple, but I've had pink, yellow, green, just about anything. You just put it in the basket on the bottom to stuff the rest of the stuff into.

I had no idea that you didn't do the hollow egg thing.

the hollow egg thing is definately an American thing. my step mom (american) did an egg hunt for us that way. I had never seen it before, but now it is a wonderful easter tradition around here!

it also makes it easier to hide chocolate around the house when you have two dogs that tend to find it on you

we used to have a basket with a bunny and foil eggs nestled in the wonderful 'grass'

oh, and i haven't done anything as of yet. i work late tonight and plan on buying a bunch of stuff for his basket, then we are going to heritage town for a hunt

Dh got grass right away when it is first out.

The basket goodies he got Thursday morning. We are on the ball this year!
