Do you go to the various playlands at the fast food resturants?

How bad do your kids scream when you leave?

we try to avoid the ones that have playlands... it's just too much hassle!!

Yep - we avoid them as well.

I see them as a huge germ pit!!
I try to discourage my kids from going in them. Sometimes, it happens - but not often.

It is a germ pit, but we carry a lot of handsanitizer with us and use it liberally. She gets cabin fever and she doesn't have a lot of other kids to play with. She's also gotten sick from other kids a time or two. I figure she's going to get sick from other kids sooner or later anyway.

We rarely eat at fast food restaurants but on ocasion I will take the kids to one with a playground just to waste some time or give the kids something to do if they are stir crazy. I'm ALWAYS ready to go before they are.

There really isn't any place that kids frequent that isn't a germ pit. They are going to get exposed regardless... they might as well be having fun while they are.

Same here, Elaine. I try not to eat there just get drinks. I figure even the outside play grounds are germ pits. They get rained on and stuff, but they get played on more too.

I prefer not to go to them. I think most of them smell like stinky feet. On occasion I will take them to one of the McDs that is close to us because its usually really clean and does not smell bad. Luckily enough for me, Jason takes them a lot when they are with him so I get out of it. I much prefer going to an outdoor park.

I avoid them like the plague.

Not for the germs and such - but cause then they don't eat and I can NEVER get them out!

OMG I refuse to go to CEC EVER again for that reason... I thought they were on crack. My bad. There was an actual drug deal the last time I was there and some little kid out front.

lol I remember my kids throwing a fit at a burger king, it was so embarrassing. I didn't bring them back for months and every time they asked I told them why we were not going back there, until the people forgot who we were!

I take my kids now and then- I usually give them a 5 min and 1 min warning before we leave. I rarely have fits.
