chicken pox vaccine?

What would happen if your child got the chicken pox vaccine twice? Could it hurt them?

The reason I ask:
I brought Kyler to the dr last Aug for his shots for Kindergarten.
I just called this week to get the forms to have on hand for the daycare.
The dr office told me that it looked like he had his shots, but never received his 5 yr old check up and he was over due.

Ok - no biggie. Went in today.

While we were there the dr said "Oh - looks like we missed his 2nd chicken pox vaccine and he needs it."
So, they gave it to them.

Now, that I'm home, I'm questioning this. (Of course it's after the fact.)
But... what if they DID GIVE IT TO HIM LAST AUG and just forgot to write it down?? Would the shot he got today hurt him???

All of my kids are getting second shots (boosters) because there's been an outbreak of chicken pox. My guess is that getting an extra one is not going to hurt him ... are you sure it isn't just a "booster"?

I think they recently added the 2nd chicken pox vaccine booster shot at 5 years old. My daughter didn't have one 2 years ago because they weren't doing them then, but we were told that she needed a second one now.

It shouldn't. Check with your Ped's office on Monday just to be sure.

I was going to say, my mother lost my shot records several times when I was a kid and I had to get all my shots over and over several times. Then in the military, I had to get them all over again. I don't think it's hurt me, but I got right sick of shots through out my childhood.
