How often do your kids get together

with their cousins? Does distance play a roll? Something else?


Just wondering since we wil have more free time soon.

I want my girls to have good relationships with their cousins so I am doing pondering today.

Distance plays a huge roll for us.....since we are in alberta, and the rest of our family is in BC.....its a 14 hour drive, and 2 hour ferry ride to get to any of Jerry's family and most of mine is even farther away than that....even my mom is 12-13 hours away

Same here, Michele. We video IM with the Hawaii inlaws some. In fact, we are rescheduling her birthday, so we can have her party with both her cousins in Hawaii and her family here. It's hard when you live miles by land and sea apart. Easier these days though with IM.

the boys have some cousins that live close and they get to see all the time (but they are all a lot older then them)... they've got some that are within an hour that they see not as often.. and some that live in Oklahoma that they haven't met yet... They will be meeting them this year (in May or June)

My kids don't have any cousins. I have 2 brothers and a sister but none have decided to have any kids yet.

No the girls don't really play with their cousins obviously, but only because we all live so far apart. We try to keep them in touch with each other though

Not to often. Maybe once a week or a couple times a month. They live right here in town but whenever they come around my kids go crazy!

DS only has 1 cousin - she's 16 and lives 200 miles away.

I try and keep them separate as much as possible, don't want the trash to rub off now. Of course with Billy's dad so sick, we see them at least once a month (they live with him) these days....

I moved up to Theresa to let my kids grow up with their cousins. I figure that my nieces cant help who their parents are. I have a super close relationships with my cousin and we live states apart.

Logan has tons of cousins, my brothers kids are in town, we get them together whenever we can, although that usually means a couple of times a month, work schedules get in teh way.

the other cousins are all over four hours away, we see then once every couple of years
