How do you get them to take a sippy cup?

I've tried multiple different sippy cups with Brenna. I started with basic no-spill cups and when she didn't get what to do with those I bought soft spout cups. She still just chewed on the end of it but didn't even attempt to suck. I tried ones with a fatter spout (more like a bottle) and the same thing. I've even tried wetting the spout with juice to make her realize there is something in there... but she just doesn't get it.
How in the world am I supposed to get her off the bottle if she has no other way to drink?

Logan hated sippy cups for the longest time, he would just throw them

eventualy, sorry, i don't remember how, but eventually he just got thirsty and took it. i gave him everything but milk in the sippy i think

Nicole didn't know how to hold a sippy cup (she also didn't hold her own bottle). We were given some straw cups for her though, and she loved those.

What about taking the no spill thing out of the sippy cup at first? Then when she tilts it into her mouth she'll realize there's yummy stuff coming out, and maybe she'll try sucking on it to make the juice or whatever come out faster? And then only put water in her bottle.

We went cold turkey with Lauren and she did fine.

Ryan's a little more of a challenge.... his usually go flying....

That's what I did I think. It's been a while though and none of my kids took more than the occasional bottle so it's not the same exactly.

Try a straw cup or the Nuby sippys (those are just like a bottle IMO). I started both boys on sippys arounf 4 mos. Noah was on all sippys by 6 mos and Zachariah by 9 mos. Try a drinkable yogurt in it.
