migraines...

Got this horrible headache that won't go away, have had it since Thursday. Started to abate a few times but came back. This morning i went to the ER cuz i couldn't stand it anymore. They gave me something by IV - reglan I think it was called. Got rid of my headache and nausea from headache, but made all jittery and hot so they had to give me Benadryl too. I felt like a million bucks for a bit after i came home. But already headache is coming back. The ER doc said if it came back to see my reg OB asap and that they can probaly give something for at home since I am already prone to migraines and this has been the longest most uncomfortable one i've ever had. I never had a single headache when i was preg with my boys, either one. Never a twinge the whole time. *sigh* Was kinda lokking forward to that ths time but i guess i won't be getting a reprieve after all.... This one has been toally different from the first two in every other way already.....shoulda been expecting it huh....

Oh , has anyone else heard of sucking lemon wedges to cure headaches? It was on list of natural stuff to help with headaches....I never heard of it before...

I've had both the Reglan and the Benadryl in an IV for my migraines. They weren't when I was pregnant though. I got a reprieve being pregnant.

I really hope they can give you something.

I had constant "headaches" and borderline migraines when I was pg with both my kids....lasted my first 5 months of pregnancy I would call your OB as soon as you can and see if there is anything else that they can give you to help you.

THere are a few natural remedies that you can try....I believe Rosemary is an essential oil that is supposed to work....or even peppermint or any kind of mint....rub the essential oil on your temples (or wherever your migraine is) and good luck
