i don't know... i'm just not really feeling like celebrating mother's day this year (I'm missing my mom a lot this year!)
but Nate brought me home a flower from school.. and he also made me a card and gift yesterday with the PAT lady ... and Jacob made me something at school too...

No, sadly.

Last year we took my Grandma out for dinner, but she's not with us this year. As well as my Mom.

we're going to a BBQ with my whole family. I'm really looking forward to it.

Re: Mother's Day

I'm kind of sad because this will be the first Mother's Day away from my mom... I recently moved to CA and she is back in MA. I was thinking of buying her a plane ticket out here for the weekend as her gift though I know she would love that but I have to see how much flights are. Any ideas if that doesn't work out.... I want to do something special!

Re: Mother's Day

I haven't spoken to my mother in almost 8 months and I don't plan to start anytime soon. She cares more about her alcohol and her boyfriend than anyone else and that's been the story my whole life. I'm moving on. My stepmother is getting a beautiful card and gift from me this week(we live far apart). She's put in more 'mother' time than my real mom.

Re: Mother's Day

I haven't spoken to my mother in 6 years and I don't plan to start now. I got cards for the kids' grandmas and dh making them WV tee shirts. I bought boring white tourist ts at Walmart and he's going to class them up.

Re: Mother's Day

I believe, it's all about being together. Time is the greatest gift of all! I'm going to get eco friendly mother's day gifts this time, may be an organic gardening kit or a flowering tea set and with that I'm making home made cards with whatever I have around the house; cardstock, ribbon, floral material, dried flowers and stickers.
