Would this be cheesy?

We're thinking about redoing our kitchen in a cafe theme ... probably painting the walls a mocha color. We need to replace our kitchen table and I saw this in a Home Depot ad. I can't help but think it would be cute with our theme. Any thoughts?

The table is pretty, but it's outdoor furniture...

I think it's really cute... I've actually looked at some outdoor furniture as well for my kitchen. I thought it would go well with the coffee house/cafe theme that I'm trying to do mine in. Of course my kitchen is much smaller than yours so I was looking at more bistro style sets.
Are you tired of the wine theme already?

I like the table, but I can say for absolute certain I wouldn't touch those chairs. With three kids(at least my three) I doubt that material would hold up long and I know it would be a b!tch to clean. I like the set, but for me practicality would make me think twice.

Hmm ... I actually thought I *was* being practical.

Truthfully, with it being patio furniture, I assumed it would hold up better than the fabric chairs we have now. Plus, I figured if all else fails, we could just drag it outside and hose it down! I'll have to check it out to see how sturdy the chairs are.

Elaine - it's not so much that we're tired of it. The paint sucks and Mike is insisting on redoing it. We were somewhere the other day (Target or Walmart) and they had the coffee house themed towels and other accessories and we thought that would be a nice change if we were repainting anyway.

I think the table would be perfect ... I'm just not sure about the chairs yet. Guess I should take a look before I make a decision.

They actually have severl of the bistro style sets on sale as well, but that wouldn't work for us.

Yeah, a bistro set technically doesn't work for me either but since Brenna is in a highchair and we all rarely ever eat at the same time anymore with my crazy sched., I thought it would look nice, be cheaper, and fit well.

Have you checked out Big Lots? They sometimes have that stuff fairly cheap. As a matter of fact, that's where our current (pitiful) table is from! Maybe I just need to check them out again.

This is kind of what I had been looking at... only not with a mesh top. The one I really liked had a tile top on it.

I like it... and as long as the chairs looked sturdy enough I would go there!

That's cute Elaine! I like it!

they are both nice

i'm shocked though, the prices are actually comparable to what a person can buy up here, usually everything is so much cheaper down there
